Recently, a large property company (who are also a regular client of Fallon’s) asked us to handle a complete refurbishment of a first-floor office space in Bayswater.

Situated between Notting Hill and Paddington, just a short distance from Hyde Park, Bayswater is a hub for business and leisure in London. Salem Road lies right by the Underground Station, barely a minute’s walk from Kensington Gardens, and the art deco building at number 6 is one of its standout features.
The Fallon team was tasked with fully refurbishing the first floor office suite, creating a fully-featured, contemporary office for the modern London business. We’d worked with this client before, and they trusted us as office fit-out contractors to get the job done with our customary attention to detail and exemplary standard of service. The first-floor office at 6 Salem Road comprises 3,186ft², meaning the team had plenty of work to do. As is ever the case with commercial office refurbishment, it was key to keep up with the schedule and get the job done on time, as delays can cause serious financial headaches for commercial clients.
While it was important for the office space to have all the contemporary fixtures and features a future client would expect, it was also a priority to produce something in-keeping with the vintage, art-deco feel of the building. With that in mind, we laid an original herringbone style timber parquet flooring, which was fully cabled with fibre connectivity and LED lighting. This provided the ideal blend of classic styling and up-to-date functionality that the client was looking for.
Exposed steel throughout the offices also contributed to the stylish feel. The first floor offices were fitted with new toilets, separate twin showers and a newly fitted kitchen and breakout area. With plenty of natural light and natural ventilation, the office space would be a pleasant and comfortable environment for a busy day’s work – helped along by the addition of new air conditioning.
