Property Renovation, Leicester Square, London

We completed this stunning renovation in Leicester Square, London on a residential property.

RESIDENTIAL CASE STUDY

Our client wanted us to create help renovate their home to make the more of the roof. We created access to it directly via a new roof access point.

We converted the loft space into a staircase complete with lights to the top.

The quotation for the works was very competitive when you consider the whole operation takes the project to top of oversite and included the full design of piles and the raft by their engineers and full attendance during the works by their site engineer. We were able to set the formation level of the slab base following demolition back filling with our stock pile of crushed concrete without the need for any spoil removal.

Our programme time was tight but they had the designs ready in just over a week and were on site two weeks from our placing the order preparing the base for their piling rig. Because of the use of minpiles (87no) a 13 ton rig was used which eliminated the need for a full designed platform and having to reduce levels to accommodate the mat. The use of the structural concrete base kept the site clean and made it easy to set out (accuracy is imperative), and to remove the pile spoil as it left the boreholes .The works were carried out very professionally, efficiently and the whole process took two weeks off our original programme time which included installation of drainage and service ducting under the raft and backfilling around the raft after striking the shutters ready for superstructure brickwork. The site was left in an exceptionally clean and tidy condition on completion of their works ready for the follow on trades.

"We would have no hesitation in recommending Fallon & Co and will certainly be using them for future projects, their approach to the scheme from start to finish was exceptional, their operatives and management efficient and the pile and raft method saved us considerable time and expense."‍

‍Turning an unused loft space, into a functioning rooftop balcony that overlooks London has improved the residential property immeasurably.
